it was a 'sandpiper' kinda early morning..

..before sunrise as I was greeted by the masses right at the end of the 40th street dunes walkway.. a bit on the chill side with temps at 59*.. you could tell there were no dog-walkers around.. actually I only saw one way out in front of me .. the Sandpipers were in their glory... after leaving the beach after sunrise stopped at the lake to 'wet a line' .. no luck on the Yum Dinger plastic worm.. switched to the Buzzbait and caught 2 Largemouth Bass within a few casts.. then I saw the 'big guy' swim past .. but almost didn't see the second one-- an 8 footer trying to hide stealthily in the reeds waiting for my next cast -- not nice.. had to quit as he wouldn't beat feet.. the 'fat bastiges' ... BTW got up to 80* and sunny by mid-morning .. pretty day  :)
