more fog and clouds

after a couple of days of clouds and fog today was the same.. went out to the island before sunrise-- which was not to be.. didn't go on to the beach but stopped at the lake to 'wet a line'...  caught one itty-bitty Largemouth Bass and that was it..  more fog and the chance of rain moving thru the area by mid-day as can be seen on this screen capture.. temps were at 69*

it's pollen season for the next few weeks

UPDATE 645pm.. thunderstorms passing thru the area washing that yellow pollen away

some fog .. and a nice sunrise

with the weather forecast calling for fog on this early Thursday morning I decided to drive over to the beach anyway.. this was the first day of a sunrise in three days.. no fog on the drive over.. a mostly low fog-haze was hanging over the cooler ocean water and beach.. made for some interesting pics.. a shell I found while walking along the water's edge also made its way into a few pics-- a unique shape .. 64* and no wind made for a nice walk and some picture-taking.. temps got up to 74* with sun and clouds thruout most of the day

clouds ...and a 'catch and release'

with heavy thunderstorms in the weather forecast for later in the day decided to head out and drive over to the island anyway as per my usual.. with no chance of a sunrise with all the clouds, I stopped instead at the local lake in my usual fishing spot.. got a double-hit but couldn't hook up.. a couple of casts later got the 2nd hit and landed him.. a nice fatso.. 6#--9oz Largemouth Bass.. snapped a couple of pics and it was 'catch and release' as always as he swam away

a 'red sky in the morning....' kinda day

with the weather forecast calling for off/on rain thruout the day, I decided to take a chance for a 'red sky in the morning....' as I drove over to the beach... it did not disappoint.. it was cloudy for the rest of the day and no rain but still in the forecast for Tuesday.. a stop over at Veterans Park on the mainland as a couple of Tugboats were heading up the Intracoastal Waterway guiding some dredge-piping along as they just passed under the Sunset Beach Bridge
