a non-sunrise.. and a lil' color

a lot better weather on this early Tuesday morning than yesterday .. off to the beach at 0540am .. lots of low clouds so I knew the sunrise would be a bust.. colorful pre-sunrise skies though made up for it.. 73*.. with some rain in the forecast for later in the day.. by 1pm the storm rolled on thru.. lots of lightning and thunder and 'wet'.. here's a short video of the storm at the house  https://youtu.be/Kf5oAifO31Y

low clouds.. and more cars

does NOT a sunrise make..  not a sunrise to be had on this early Saturday morning.. a solid low cloud cover greeted me as I drove to the beach at 540am along with cars.. cars.. cars.. all over the place.. most I've seen this early in the morning  ..doesn't anyone sleep-in anymore.. where the heck are all these cars coming from ..

at 540am crossing the Bridge-- cars cars cars heading to the beach
a non-sunrise  with solid low cloud cover

a late late late sunrise--above the solid cloud cover

three early mornings in a row

... a nice sunrise.. along with 73* temps at the beach with a slight NNE wind before sunrise.. a few more dog-walkers than normal with a few 'tourons' walking around thrown in the mix.. no one really close to me as I avoid the masses what little there are this time in the morning.. a stop at the lake on the drive home.. water got too warm-- in the 80's so the fish are no where to be found.. even my buddy the gator wasn't nearby as per his usual at 'our spot' 85* and sunny for the rest of the day

a pretty morning.. and then

it started off a pretty day.. on the beach by 540am.. a smidge of color in the pre-sunrise sky.. not bad but I knew the forecast for later in the morning was not to my liking.. stopped at the Lake to 'wet a line' on the drive home.. as soon as I was about to make my first cast my best buddy comes out of the reeds and gave me the 'evil eye'--and wouldn't leave-- so I did.. off to our every 2 week jaunt to Costco down in Myrtle for Senior Hour at 9am..-- only available to the 'older than dirt' crowd.. days will be changing for Seniors-- only Tues and Thurs 9-10am starting next month-- as we left Costco the skies exploded with heavy rain and thunder the entire drive home both on Rt 501 and then on Rt 31 north.. some nasty looking cloud formations spotted at about the Little River Inlet area.. it rained hard until about noon-- then back to a nice sunny day
