rain.. and more rain and New Year's Eve

with the rain starting this morning and continuing on thruout the day....we had a nice New Year's Eve dinner at home--just the two of us..started off with a Caesar's Salad.. then on to the Prime Rib slow cooked.. fried cauliflower-a favorite of mine.. baked potato with a nice Italian Chianti red wine--another favorite... once again I stayed out of the kitchen and let Pat do her magic.. a great dinner..as our usual New Year's Eve tradition we watched the Ball drop on TV at Midnite in New York City from high atop Times Square for the countdown into the new year-2021

wind was up.. sun was out

another early morning on the beach before sunrise this Wednesday.. 39* but the wind was up and blowing 15+mph out of the northeast so I didn't hang around too long today.. partly cloudy most of the afternoon with temps up to 61*.. there is the forecast for rain over the next few days.. so not too promising

the sunrise with some 4 legged friends

just another early morning at the beach.. being that this is 'Christmas vacation week' a few more peeps were out and about --at least from 40th street walking toward the west and the Little River Inlet Jetties.. just two walked past me at 38th street.. 40* with a light 5-10mph SW wind.. all was good.. upon leaving the beach and driving along the beach road--Main Street-- 3 deer ran in front of my truck.. as I was only going 20mph at the time I was able to stop.. grab a camera quickly and snap a series of pics as they looked back at me and one by one 'negotiated' the fence in a front yard of a beach house heading on to the dunes

warmed up a little.. nice day

a drive over to the island.. no beach today.. as I was pressed for time to get home for an early shopping day at Sams and Costco--'seniors only' hours.. stopped at the Lake as a Momma-- or was it Poppa-- Bald Eagle was on the Eagle-perch as per their usual lately -- yesterday the 'kid' was there ..37* .. that got up to 63* and sunny in the afternoon.. made for a nice day..
