Day 42-- at Sea

at sea.. left Funchal last evening 6pm for the sail back across the big pond -- 7+ days at sea and 3110 miles toward our next port--- Half Moon Cay, Bahamas-- Holland America's private island with arrival on Dec 7.. flat seas earlier this morning--like glass..  a couple of trivias today.. not doing the best but we are sure having some fun and laughs-- a hoot..  Pinnacle Grill tonite-- super dinner

Day 41-- Funchal, Madeira

arrival at 8am in the primo berth downtown side of the port of this outstanding port of Funchal on the island of Madeira, Portugal..  after breakfast onboard it was out on the town-- a ride to the top of Monte on the cable car. with John and Luke... pretty scenic on this mostly clear 73* sunny day.. after the ride back down from the top it was to a local outdoor cafe for lunch.. John and Luke met us there after about an hour ..  walking thru town snapping pics along the way before heading back to the ship.. we left the berth at 6pm for our 3110 mile crossing across the big pond to our next port-- Half Moon Cay, Bahamas in 7+ days at sea

Day 40-- at Sea

a lovely quiet day at sea without the scuzzy smog and dust of yesterday's slime-ola port of Casablanca-- glad to be outta there..  sunny 74*.. it was out on the Lido Deck-aft for the morning catchin'some rays.. on to after lunch trivia in the Crows Nest followed by more in the sun sitting on our Balcony..  super day...next port Funchal, Madaira Portugal with arrival there tomorrow morning-- great place to visit.. love it there

Day 39-- Casablanca, Morocco

didn't even get off the ship in Casablanca today.. a dump--been here too many times before to know what it is.. I'll watch the movie...  that's not haze-- that's dust and smog

Day 38-- Cadiz, Spain

off the ship by 10am..partly cloudy..looked better at 430am ..always here on a Sunday the past 6x....time for a walk about town.. sun popped out nicely.. turned into a beautiful sunny day.. 75*
