Clouds.. a Gator and Gardenias

more clouds greeted me on the island this early morning at 545am.. again no sunrise so no beach.. on the drive home a stop off at the Lake and another PITA greeted me-- just a 5 footer right along the waters edge at the bank in my fishing spot.. at least the flowers are in full bloom on one of our Gardenia bushes in our front yard.. the 2nd one has just started to bloom.. a mostly sunny day up to 80* .. rain showers in the early evening

too many clouds on the island
just waiting for me at the Lake

a cloudy morning.. and sun..

out for a drive over to the island at 545am.. at least the rain stopped--for now.. still thunder and lightning off in the distance so decided not to venture on to the beach.. 75* .. who knows what the rest of the day will be weather-wise.. UPDATE-- with an 80% chance of rain in today's forecast somehow some way the Sun came out and it turned into a beautiful warm 83* --and humid-- Sunny day

and then there was the rain

well the rain is here as I drive over to the lake.. no island today.. rain came down harder as I got closer to the Lake and island.. seems it is offshore about to come ashore for the next few hours.. never know who you're going to run into there-- a couple of lil' doods with umbrellas hanging out on the hood of the car.. gave it a try-- 'wetting a line'--literally.. nada.. a few pics and that was it.. headed back home...

Tropical Storm Bertha formed off the central South Carolina Coast about 100 miles south of us offshore of Charleston early this morning..  at 11am it made landfall in Mt Pleasant just a couple of miles north of downtown Charleston and continues on its path north and inland.. we should get some rain showers for the next 3 days from it..and the rain continues..--ugh

after landfall as it is now
