for the past 4 days it's been heavy clouds.. fog and/or rain in the early morning hours so no chance of a sunrise.. bleak is an understatement.. the temps have cooled to the low 60's with highs in the high 60's to low to mid 70's.. today all clouds... with this screengrab off the Sunset Beach Piercam at 7am.. uglee..
with our good friend Ann visiting us from Connecticut for the week a day trip was in order down to Charleston.. we have been friends for over 50 years .. Ann was our neighbor when we lived on Long Island.. her husband Joe was a NYC Fireman but unfortunately passed away 13 years ago.. I guess it was actually a 'shopping trip' for the ladies.. we first stopped by the Omni at Charleston Place.. Louie Vuitton.. then the Charleston Market followed by a nice lunch that we walked off along Rainbow Row and the Battery thru Battery Park and the old historic district which Charleston is noted for.. 83* and sunny.. a perfect day..
Tropical Storm named Ophelia--- rained all day Friday-yesterday--.. thru the nite.. about to make landfall in n/e NC this early Saturday morning.. winds at 70mph.. temps now at 60* at 8am.. looks like another uglee cloudy day
