with the detour at the Calabash River Bridge started on Sept 6 --an ongoing project to replace the bridge that will take 18+ months to complete--unimaginable it would take that long.. I find myself not appreciating the detour-drive over to the beach every early morning-- what a mess the NC-DOT has created.. with plenty of low clouds a quick stop at Veterans Park and a short walk over to the small Pier nearby the boat-launching site.. 81* early with high humidity and plenty-- and I mean plenty --of mosquitoes in the area.. only up to 86* today
