Happy Thanxgiving

wishing all a Happy Thanxgiving.. stay well.. stay safe.. stay healthy and most of all be THANKFUL in these trying times of chaos..

earlier this morning I drove over to the island.. 64*.. with the many low clouds and little chance of a decent sunrise I decided not to go on to the beach.. a stop at Veteran's Park along the ICW  then on over to the Lake where one of the resident Bald Eagles was on its perch high above.. I noticed that he was 'smiling'-- why you might ask---he was glad on this Thanxgiving Day he was not a Turkey for dinner.. it turned into a nice sunny 74* day

no sunrise this morning

kewl temps again..

the temps are dropping on this early morning before sunrise as I drove over to the beach.. 40*... a few more peeps than I thought would be out and about.. I guess they miss seeing the sunrise the past couple of days.. decided to do the short walk out on to the beach at the Gazebo near the pier.. topped out at only 60* but sunny this afternoon as we topped off the day at our local Chevy dealer to pick up Pat's new 2021 Traverse..

well before sunrise at the Calabash River

a newcomer at the Lake

just a blah early morning as I drove to the island.. way too many low clouds for any kind of a sunrise so back over to the Lake.. saw this guy just standing on the bank.. a Black-Crowned Night Heron.. unusual to see one at least for me.. normally Green and Blue Herons are the usual.. fishing has even shut down at the Lake not a bite.. 66* and sunny most of the day.. forecast for 'kewler' temps the next few days

no beach today-- clouds win

on this partly cloudy early morning a drive over to the island just to check things out-- decided no beach today as the sunrise did not look promising.. 60* no wind and the birds were out and about.. turned into a pretty day sunny and up to 74*.. lovin' it

pretty early morning.. a bit 'kewler'

stopped by the Lake on the drive over to the beach--just enuff light to see 'momma and poppa Bald Eagles' on their perch.. the baby was not around today... after a few snaps it was off to the beach at the west end at 40th Street.. another pretty early morning .. 47* and sunny.. no wind.. the regular dog-walkers didn't show up in force until 7am so all was quiet up until just after sunrise.. 72* and sunny all day.. enjoying the nice weather
