rain and a 'space event'--Jupiter and Saturn

two more early mornings of heavy clouds and rain did not make me smile.. finally cleared up in the afternoon.. we do not need any more rain.. a 'space show' in the western sky this evening as Jupiter and Saturn will be the closest in hundreds of years.. looking thru the binoculars you can see two separate planets very close together.. by the naked eye they look as one and is known as the 'Christmas Star'  ..the Causeway on Sunset Beach island was filled with cars parked on both sides from the Bridge to the Pier as people came out just after Sunset to view the event.. too far away for any kind of decent pics as the planets appeared very small as opposed to the size of the Moon.. they should be still visible over the next few early evenings after sunset in the western sky.. info at this site  https://www.nasa.gov/feature/the-great-conjunction-of-jupiter-and-saturn
