Day 26-- Fanning Island -Wed part 1

our first of two Wednesday Feb 13th's...having crossed the International Date Line we cross back tonite so today will be repeated tomorrow again.....it was a scheduled stop at Fanning Island at 0800am but with the 30 knot winds causing unsafe seas for our tendering the Captain made the decision for passenger's safety to bypass the port... Fanning Island is a primitive atoll with no facilities or electricity... after trying to make the stop we pulled away about 830am and set sail for our next stop Bora Bora...  it was a nice mostly sunny day.. an occasional small rain squall passed thru..winds continued strong between 25-30+ knots all day long which is most unusual for this area so close to the Equator which is normally calm but HOT..  we decided to bypass the show tonite a flutist then headed up to the Crows Nest for trivia at 730pm followed by 80's disco music hour with DJ Greg..at about 915pm we crossed the Equator and are now in the Southern hemisphere heading down to Bora Bora in French polynesia
