Day 23--Hilo Hawaii

our ship left Honolulu last evening and we headed down to Hilo on the big island of Hawaii.. our tour today took us up to the Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii Volcano National Park.. quite impressive as the large stream of steam in this active volcano spews away...  down in one of the Volcano Tunnels formed by crusted lava rock ended the tour...  a nice day again.. we stopped on the way back at the local WalMart to pick up some essentials...a free shuttle ride back to the ship provided by Wally World...  dinner in the dining room tonite ..we haven't been there for a few nites..  70's trivia in the Crows Nest as the regulars talked me into it once again.. we won.. this was our last port in Hawaii .. we now sail south toward Fanning Island.. it is the alternate port for Christmas Island that was removed from the itinerary due to service problems on the island... the port was filling in and wasn't able to be dredged
