another early arrival into the port of Livorno, Italia before sunrise.. off the ship by 10am on the shuttle bus to the downtown area.. decided to do the Hop On Hop Off bus once again but this time got off to do the Funiculaire to the top of the mountain at Montenero where the Monastery is.. an old style funiculaire car on tracks pulled up by cable.. quite unique.. when we arrived at the top we were pleasantly surprised with the scenic views of Livorno and the Med.. what a view.. another surprise was the small village with the Monastary and Church along with the shops and small cafes.. glad we made it up there.. back down to the city and on to the ship by 230pm.. a super nice day..
