one must adapt-- a non-sunrise

an early overcast cloudy morning at 48* made for a non-sunrise at the beach.. decided instead to 'wet a line' in the backwaters along the Sunset Beach (NC) island causeway-- high tide so that was a no-go... off to the small pier across and under the bridge on the mainland.. after about 20 minutes of plugging only two bites but no hookups--I was looking for the elusive Red Drum (RedFish) or Speckled Trout.. continuing the short drive back home I stopped at the Lake about a half mile away with again two bites and no hookups.. a few birds were around looking for breakfast along the banks.. one must adapt UPDATE: 10am the sun is shining.. blue skies ..warmed up a bit to 72* lovin' it
