Day 68-- Rangiroa, French Polynesia-- Remember Pearl Harbor Day

REMEMBER Pearl Harbor.. December 7, 1941.. a solemn SALUTE to those in the Military who lost their lives that tragic day.. especially memorable as we are currently sailing in the South Pacific .. may they Rest In Peace after paying the ultimate sacrifice for all of us to enjoy our freedom today.. 'A-TEN-HUT'

as we made our approach to Avatoru, Rangiroa--the largest Atoll in the Polynesian islands.. a 'Big Donut' is what it is.. with the narrowest inlet I've passed thru -- we did the same approach on the Statendam back in Feb 2013-- amazing a ship can make it thru.. 81° at 450am .. the Sunrise at 514am made for a nice Rainbow just thereafter as a rain squall passed thru.. we'll be tendering in to shore once again.. off the ship at 10am.. pretty island.. stopped at a small beach..

our Approach-Sequence making our way thru the Inlet
