lightning storms offshore.. and colorful skies too

with the weather forecast calling for rain and thunderstorms for the early morning today.. I drove over to the island and started seeing those storms running just offshore along the beach.. plenty of lightning once again--this is getting old ..stayed along the causeway for a while 'just in case' but looked like no chance of a sunrise with all the low clouds in the east sky.. left the island crossing back over the bridge and decided to see what was happening just under the bridge on the mainland side at the small pier and boat landing.. I was rewarded with colorful skies-- so it was well worth the wait.. a couple of very short videos showing the storm offshore and the lightning as well as the color-filled skies looking up the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW)
