finally a sunrise

finally a Sunrise but with lots of clouds after 6 days without one with a Hurricane thrown in the mix and mucho many early mornings of rain, lightning and thunderstorms too.. low tide today .. wow-- what erosion as the Hurricane made landfall on the very next barrier island a couple of miles away to the East on Ocean Isle Beach on Monday late nite at 1110pm with a Full Moon coupled with High Tide-- a bad combination.. and to top it off I spoke to a couple of Turtle-Watcher Group members -- all the Turtle Nests that lined the dunes were destroyed by the storm

before sunrise

a lot of beach erosion from the storm

plenty of grass, reeds and debris washed up on to the beach

someone walked out of their sandal on the dunes

calm seas today

some more dog-walkers heading west
