fog.. haze.. mist and a sunrise

an uglee sky along with fog.. haze.. mist as I was leaving the house for the drive over to the beach.. crossing over the Sunset Beach bridge and there was a chance of a sunrise albeit a slim chance.. down at the west end of the island at the 40th Street dunes walkway headed the last 400 steps to the beach... nice and quiet with a few dog-walkers and 64* as the cloud cover kept the heat in the air.. got my sunrise snaps in... back over to the Lake and tried my luck 'wetting a line' .. nada... saw a photo-op with a potpourri of feathered friends on the pond at hole #1 Oyster Bay Golf course...the stream that connects the saltwater marsh of the Intracoastal Waterway(ICW) across the road that merges with the freshwater pond brings in a lot of bait.. so breakfast was served.. seems there is some heated competition between the Blue Heron and the Woodstork
