our first stop as we begin our cruises in the Caribbean is Half Moon Cay, Bahamas- Holland America's private island.. we have been here well over 50 times over the years.. things are in the process of changing for thise who know the island- Margaret and Peter -Carnival Corporation- the parent company of Holland America as well as of Princess.. Costa.. Seabourne and more- has added a large dock on the western tip of the island exclusively for Carnival ships.. much contruction is going on.. looks like the old pristine island will be changing dramatically over the next year or so to our disappointment .. a sad time for us and to those who have been here over the years.. 2 Holland America ships were in port today.. our ship the Nieuw Statendam as well as the Koningsdam
