another nice sail-in thru the bay passing by the largest yacht in the world.. once owned by a Russian Oligarch Marushenko then confiscated by the Italian government the last time we were here in 2022.. worth close to $600 million.. and it is one uglee boat.. off the ship by 10am.. into the large square.. thru the busy streets over to the canals.. lots of cafe's.. shops galore if one likes shopping-ugh.. our normal stop for pizza- lunch we decided to try the Cafe next to our regular stop.. bad idea as the pizza was not even close- oh well.. Pat was smart and had the calamari.. a good choice.. more shopping and stopping.. back thru the Square and onboard the ship across the street.. a walk out after dinner for some pretty darn good gelato..nice.. we were originally scheduled to be in Trieste for an overnight stay- 2 days but due to ship traffic conditions it was changed to just 1 day.. tomorrow it is over to Koper, Slovenia about 15 miles away across the border- a first time stay there for a Holland America ship
