Day 30- at Sea

after leaving Honolulu last evening it was more sea days as we set sail for our next port of call Fanning Island, Kiribati about 1000 miles south .. we will be crossing the International Date Line tomorrow.. soooooo 'tomorrow will not be tomorrow' as we skip a day and move forward from today March 1 to March 3.. after stopping at Fanning Island a super small island that we've been to in the past mainly for a 'service stop' as the ship drops off supplies and donations to the people living there- a nice charitable jesture .. it's been the custom ongoing for many years as long as the weather and sea conditions allow it for the ship's tenders to make land.. this morning winds were up to 30kts with seas around 12-15 feet or better.. I would estimate 'better' .. the first time I crossed the Intl Date Line was in April 1967 while on my first cruise in the Army- on the Troop Ship General John Pope heading to Vietnam- a FREE cruise btw
