nice morning .. might be the last early outdoors for a while

got out to the Island this early morning at 0630am before sunrise--- and as I have posted earlier with the new 'no-outdoor activities' rules going into effect including closing down the beach over at the town of Sunset Beach tonite looks like this will be the last one for a while.. 58* clear nice and sunny as the morning continued on.. 76* this afternoon and sunny with a thunderstorm passing thru at 5pm-- with more to come in the overnite..

no one around driving thru Calabash at 630am
still no cars to be seen at the Calabash River bridge
stopped along the island causeway to snap some sunrise pics

driving back over the bridge to the mainland

Great Egret flyover at the Lake

Grackle at the Lake

Cormorant 'flyover' at the lake
looks like this morning's drive over to the Island might be the last for a while with the new Town of Sunset Beach rules going into effect tonite at Midnite.. no outdoor activities as had been previously maintaining social distancing with this C-19 Virus..  also non-residents are not allowed in the town..  our Town of Carolina Shores has about the same rules going into effect at noon today... this is the new order-- a new world we live in.. hope this helps..

Sunset Beach rules effective April 7, 2020 0001hrs Midnite

our town of Carolina Shores rules effective April 6, 2020 12 noon

The residential areas of the town are being closed to non-residents and visitors as continued circulation of non-residents and visitors undermines the stay at home order issued by the Governor and jeopardizes the at-risk population of the Carolina Shores community, the full order reads: The residential areas of Town of Carolina Shores have been designated an emergency area and will be closed to non-residents and visitors effective 12:00noon EST, Monday, April 6, 2020 except that emergency workers, utility company employees, state/county/municipal workers providing services to the area are exempted. Deliveries of essential supplies by outside persons during daylight hours as well as contractors performing work during daylight hours are exempted. Directly related family members and those providing in-home care or aid are also exempted. All short-term rentals are prohibited in the emergency area. Any person exempted from the order that has traveled from outside Brunswick County risks exposing Carolina Shores residents and should refrain, if possible, from entering the emergency area. Carolina Shores residents returning from an area outside of Brunswick County should quarantine themselves 14 days not including the day of return to the area, and should closely monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms. Residents should continue to stay at home unless engaged in essential activities or businesses until further notice.

All previous orders remain in effect, in cases where a local order is more or less stringent than a State order, the more stringent order shall prevail.
