calling for clouds this early morning.. actually a nice clear day .. over to the island .. a few peeps out on top of the bridge taking sunrise pics as I drove across to the island side..stopped along the causeway and that was as far as I wanted to go with the beach closed and no public parking on the entire island.. 65* with little wind if any.. a pretty Easter Sunday up to 70* this afternoon.. rain in the forecast from this evening thru tomorrow..
a nice homemade I-tal-yun Easter Dinner--just the two of us-- at 2 o'clock like in the 'old days' on a Sunday.... finally sat down after a 'bazillion' phone calls to relatives and friends.. head is still spinning.. Manicotti ( 'Man-a-gut') made from scratch.. same for the Meatballs and the Gravy (ok Sauce-- if you ain't from Brooklyn).. a lil' Antipasta with Provolone Cheese ( on the right) direct from Palermo Sicily-- it is the best of the best nice and super extra sharp.. so we took a few slabs home with us last time we were there a little over a year ago.. some Chianti wine first bottle from Costco really good.. backed up with Amarone -- ahhh to me just a high priced Chianti with 100% Sangiovese Grapes that's all.. some Proscuitto and 'Mutz-a-del'-- again Mozzarella ..mangia mangia thatsa' nice.. and NO I did not do any of the cooking-- I have learned to stay outta the kitchen--only get in the way.. hay not bad for staying at home.. caio.. buona notte :)
