a welcomed Sunrise

first a super Happy Birthday to a good friend Jim S.. hope you had a great day today.. wishing you many many more..

as I arrived on the beach on the West End at 40th Street well before sunrise at 545am--dark it was..  the sun made it thru the low clouds into a pretty display of color and sunshine.. after all these days of wet weather it was a welcomed site.. a Sunrise Video on My YouTube site at this link.. https://youtu.be/iPPrjAi7ic0?si=CLh-P8-Wl7RI2alb

by early afternoon though a heavy duty thunder-lightning storm ruined the day with heavy rains and way too much water on the streets.. the original early morning weather forecast only had a 15% chance of rain today-- wrong..  a Tornado Warning was posted by 530pm with a water spout sighted off Ocean Isle Beach .. luckily it stayed out offshore and continued in a northeast direction over the ocean.. clouds stayed with us thru tonite  with more rain in the next few days.. ocean water temps dropped again to 81*..
