on to the beach at 40th street at 545am in the dark an hour before Sunrise as I decided to walk the 2 miles to the Little River Inlet Jetties just across the NC-SC state line into South Carolina... needless to say not too many peeps around ..low tide made for a wide beach.. saw 2 joggers already returning from the Inlet.. taking as many pics along the way as I could had just 3 peeps pass by me.. haven't taken this stroll in a couple of months.. looks like all is well with the dunes as they were well set high in place--a good sign.. passed by and crossed over Mad Inlet that once was on the charts separating Sunset Beach from Bird Island --it has all filled in for many years now.. as well as the famous Kindred Spirit Mailbox.. I had intentions of flying my Drone once again at the Inlet Jetties but the colorful early morning dawn sky was taken over by drab cloud cover.. a nice walk in 69* air temps.. as you can see I snapped mucho many pics.. thought there would be more peeps down that far but to my surprise there were just a handful including some from the Turtle Watchers Club who maintain the couple of Turtle Nests in progress down that far along the beach.. sure seemed like the 2 mile walk back was longer probably because I met and spoke to a few peeps along the way that I knew .. overall a nice change of pace..
