our sail down the St Lawrence River toward Quebec City this early morning continues.. it would be hard to find a more serene and scenic place to travel.. I was up on the Lido Deck-aft well before the 453am Sunrise.. having sailed this route before I knew this would not disappoint.. calm..quiet and as pretty as it gets.. arrival in Quebec City by 9am...
light rain until 930am when we got off the ship and did our walk thru Quebec City-Old Town... been here a number of times over the years.. did the Funicular to the Upper Level... interesting, as the clouds stayed around for a while then the sun came out and the winds picked up to 35+ kts as we got to the Upper Level near the Hotel Frontenac.. had to make a stop inside.. walked a few blocks over to Paillards -had a nosh- a few Croissants.. then a stop at the Notre Dame Cathedral as we walked downhill back to the ship.. with the winds still so high Captain Ane' advised that our departure time would be delayed until 7pm.. had dinner in the Canaletto Italian Restaurant..
