Day 7- Quebec City

another 'early-early morning sunrise' at 448am as we sail southwest along the St Lawrence River toward our next port Quebec City  with arrival at 9am.. the QC forecast shows 100% chance of rain all day today.. with that I was not disappointed up on the Lido Deck aft ..an amazing colorful pre-sunrise sky was well worth getting up early for.. at first I was alone on deck.. a few peeps showed up then a few more most missing all the colors before sunrise as the colors in the sky dissipated..

at Sunrise

forecast for Quebec City today

waited for the rain to stop  and a walk off the ship at 1115am into Quebec Old Town.. started off on Rue du Sault-au-Matelot with a number of artist shops and small galleries.. continued on to Petit Champlain Quarter in Old Town ..it was on to the Funiculaire for a ride to the upper level of town..stopped by the Chateau Frontenac hotel.. then on to Paillards for a 'nosh'-- coffee and croissants ..'it don't get no more better-er than that'.. continuing our walk some raindrops started as we set out down the hill with our usual stop at Mary's Homemade Popcorn-- had to get a small bag for old times sake.. rain stopped again as we made our way back to the ship at 145pm..  made the best of a cloudy sometimes rainy day.. we'll be back here 3 more times in the next 3 weeks hopefully with nicer more friendly picture-taking sunny weather
