sailing SSE down the Baja Coast this early morning I was up on the Sky Deck on the bow for a nice sunrise..flat seas and a light wind made for pleasant sailing conditions... 64*.. up to the mid 70's and sunny blue skies for the rest of the day..at 930am met up with the small Veterans group onboard for a chat session..about 10 of us.. of all the attendees I was the only 'draftee' in the group--we were all from the Vietnam era.. all the others 'beat the draft' and enlisted-- that's an old military joke from way back in the '60's btw.. had fun thinking back 55 years..yikes.. it sure is nice having 900 passengers onboard the Koningsdam that normally sails withh 2600 passengers.. for this entire week's cruise the Upper Dining Room where we normally have dinner is closed due to the low nunber of passengers onboard..it's a first for us..never saw this before..we will be dining on the lower level in the dining room.
