Day 8-- Ft Lauderdale

docked in Port Everglades-Ft Lauderdale.. for those who know Holland America ships.. we are one of three HAL ships in port.. along with the Eurodam and the Oosterdam.. it was a 0707am sunrise over the Oosterdam.. nice early morning..

UPDATE: 0930am it was a group meet in the Showroom for all of us In-Transits staying on for another cruise.. US Immigration requires the ship be 'cleared' totally of pax.. we got off in a group of about 30 pax.. then escorted immediately back onboard for those of us who chose not to go venturing off into Ft Lauderdale..

 Part 2 of our 4 part cruise begins..

our nephew and his wife joined us for this 7 day part of our cruise... a nice dinner in the dining room and it was on to the Veendam's Piano Bar with everyone's favorite 'Stryker' --he was at his best for 2 sets last nite.. a longtime favorite onboard HAL ships.. from Billy Joel to Broadway to Elton John  ..what a voice .. he did not disappoint..
