Day 10-- Day at Sea

looks like we will not be stopping in Manta, Ecuador tomorrow-- our Captain made an announcement a lil' while ago that he was advised by Holland America's Corporate Security to bypass the port due to extreme civil demonstrations-- not safe.. so tomorrow will just be another 'day at sea'..   one must adapt.. my observations--earlier this morning at sunrise I noticed our ship only doing 13.5 knots.. our distance to Manta at that time was 427nm.. no way he could make it by our scheduled 5am arrival time tomorrow
..  I thought he might be having engine trouble for the unusual slow speed but that was not the case ..I knew something was up having done mucho many cruises in the past
