the last beach day of 2023.. and New Years Eve dinner

on this last sunrise on this the last day of 2023.. 36* greeted me at the beach with the ocean water temps not conducive for taking a dip at 58*.. it sure did drop fast.. a few dog-walkers and the local regulars were out and about..  by late morning the temps were up into the mid 50's with the sun shining as we took a ride down to Myrtle Beach for some Costco ..Belk and Bass Pro Shops shopping- just our regular stops

a nice quiet New Years Eve dinner at home .. Caesars Salad.. Shrimp Cocktail.. Prime Rib with a taste of Amarone wine--our favorite .. later on we watched the 'ball drop' from NYC's Times Square as we usually do

 

back on the beach

over to the beach this early morning before sunrise-- the first time since returning from our NY-Connecticut drive up north for the holidays.. nice to be back .. temps in the 40's with a chilly breeze but that was okay after all that traffic and congestion I've been around the past week or so.. actually 10 days of it.. a nice sunrise after breaking thru the low clouds.. a few peeps walking the beach..  stayed in the 50's most of the day.. quiet is nice ... ahhhhhhhhhhh :)
