.. 57* this early morning.. brrrr.. I had to give in--shorts AND a SWEATSHIRT was in order as I drove over to the island .. 15+mph North winds .. so no beach again.. what a wuss.. plenty of low clouds so no sunrise.. I was checking out the public parking area nearby the Gazebo and Pier.. and who show up right in front of me as I made the turn on to Main Street.. not one.. not two but three deer.. plenty of birds were out also .. Great Egrets.. Woodstorks.. Gulls.. Blue Herons and a couple of Bald Eagles including a juvenile.. I guess they all like the kewl temps and bait was plentiful in the backwaters.. it's the 'mullet- run' season..
