wow.. busy on the island

it was off to the island with a beach visit planned.. sometimes plans have to be altered.. lots of low clouds AND at 530am when I got over the bridge car after car after car heading over to the island convinced me that the beach was not going to be this morning for me at least.. stayed back along the causeway.. wow.. can't get over the number of cars this early especially on a Sunday morning.. c'mon people you are supposed to 'sleep-in'.. not much of a sunrise as I waited it out.. another 'hot one' up to 86* this afternoon.. sunny.. cookin' once again.. speaking of which.. a light dinner late afternoon style of homemade from scratch Manicotti ( that's 'managutt' in Brooklyn) along with some 'meat-a-balls'.. sausage (sozzeech) and more in the Sunday 'gravy' ( more Brooklyn-- it's gravy not sauce).. Chianti was favored as it usually is for me-- I'm 'old school' .. thatsa' nice
