finally we got a break from the storms mid-afternoon.. along with my nephew decided to wet a line in the surf on Ocean Isle Beach.. had the room as the beach-goers were not right around us.. just call me 'Rocket-Man' using an Abu 6500 CS Rocket casting reel--still a big favorite of mine in the surf
water temps 84* ..which means no fish of course with stormy churned up uglee brown water.. had fun at the beach house that they have all this week..

and a personal anniversary for moi.. I retired 28 years ago today and continue to feed ravenously in the deep civil service feeding troughs.. lovin' it :)
