a wild early morning sky.. and a 'Run for the Fallen' tribute

here's what this early morning's NON-sunrise turned into as the front passed thru right over Little River Inlet and over me as I set up on the Island's causeway just on the island side of the Bridge.. that sky in the WSW sure didn't look good.. no Tornadoes but the potentially ominous looking sky was there.. rain followed .. then the sun popped out an hour or so later... a sunny pretty day overall until the rains came back in the late afternoon..

it was off to the short drive down to North Myrtle Beach for some late morning shopping ..  as we got there we came across the 'Run for the Fallen' caravan and runners on Rt 17.. we saw them again after heading back home as we stopped at the Food Lion shopping center on Rt 17 and Country Club Dr in NC...   a nice tribute to our fallen military running cross country thru 19 states.. 120 days .. 6K miles enroute to Arlington National Cemetery by August 5.. nicely done -- kudos and hats off to all including the many volunteer runners who participated along the way..
