arrived 8am in Cagliari, Sardinia an island off the coast of
Italia... heavy winds and overcast skies with temps for most of the
day at 72*... we took a ship's walking tour of the city .. not a
favorite place of mine to visit as the Gelato and Pizzeria's were
numbered.. there were demonstrations by teachers in the streets at
the main Piazza... also an island-wide strike of mine w*rkers...
didn't affect us at all... we had an early sailaway leaving the
port at 230pm for our next port of call Gibraltar--and the Barberry
Monkeys 'atop the rock' .. looks like it'll be a bumpy ride tonite
and tomorrow with high winds and seas as we spend another day at
sea..we somehow were lucky and avoided all the rains and flooding that
were in northern Italy near Venice as well as in the Tuscany region
just north of Rome.... and as usual there are some strange eccentric
people onboard.. I'll just leave it at that :) ..ship's satellite internet still extremely slow slow slow... ship is still on Code Red with many cases of Noro among the passengers
