whew.. enuff of this northeast crappy frigid snowy weather as we leave for the drive home on this Monday morning.. 685 miles .. temps in Greenwich at 450am were at 36*.. luckily just above freezing as we made our way across the Tappan Zee Bridge now renamed the Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge across the Hudson River in New York then southbound into New Jersey along the Garden State Parkway to the NJ Turnpike- Route I-95.. South Jersey temps rose into the low 50's with some intermittent light rain showers along the route thru Delaware.. Maryland..Virginia and parts of North Carolina where it cleared up nicely.. NO ACCIDENTS to delay us like we encountered last week on the drive north.. we were home by 4pm making decent time on the road... temps were at 73* by then with clear skies.. overall a nice trip south and it was sure super nice to be out of that northeast messy cold snowy weather.. they can have it
