an early arrival just after sunrise to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas HAL's private island.. lots if low clouds.. off on a tender to the island by 815am.. my usual walk to the west end meeting Pat when I returned .. the West End has major construction going on with Carnival building a large dock complex for their bigger ships.. the days of only Holland America line ships going to HMC will be over.. a sad day for this beautiful island that we have been to over 50x over the years since it opened..
after lunch at the island's BBQ it was back on to the ship.. dinner in the Tamarind restaurant.. top notch.... after dinner it was over to the World Stage theater for the traditional Captain's welcome aboard and toast followed by a singing and dance show.. very well done with many tunes from the old R&R era..
in to the Billboard Onboard pianos for their show followed by a stop at the BB King Lounge for a show of Motown tunes
