Day 43- Ft Lauderdale Cruise- Part 2 begins

up to the Lido Deck-aft at 430am in the dark to watch the sail in to Port Everglades on this last day of Part 1 of our cruise.. brrrrr..  55*  and this is Ft Lauderdale.. yikes..  we change ships as we head on over across the street to board the Nieuw Statendam for Part 2 --28 days thru the Caribbean

onboard the Nieuw Statendam after walking over from the Volendam.. greeted in the Terminal by our good friend Joanne the GRMgr onboard..  we know her so long from back in the days when we first sailed the Maasdam.. by 1130am we were at the NY Pizza & Deli ..a couple of freshly made Margarita Pizzas.. super nice.... warmed up nicely from earlier this Saturday morning to near 70* and sunny.. the Nieuw Statendam has a few more decks than the Volendam has 😇😃

bye bye Volendam.. as we sail away from Port Everglades at 4pm heading to Holland America's private island- Half Moon Cay- tomorrow morning

after dinner in the dining room it was up to the Lido Pool area for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.. what a great time with  friends as Captain Henk and his Staff led the Christmas season celebration.. lots of fun especially just watching all the little kids having fun..
