Day 32- Mazatlan

what started off on the starboard side ended up on the port side--the Sunrise this morning at 640am as the Koningsdam arrived in Mazatlan doing a '180' inside the bay just before docking

almost docked

out by 915am ..walking the 'blue line' in old Mazatlan once again.. had to solve a mini-mystery of the Cathedral..we did  by asking one of the local Blue Shirt ex-pats volunteers-most all are transplants from the US and Canada-- along the way..     the story goes--when the Cathedral ran out of money when it was being rebuilt the local Jewish community stepped up and gave the money needed to finish construction..as luck would have it the volunteer Roger on his electric scooter who I asked was a nice Jewish man from the States.. he said he had the 'inside tract' ...  the Cathedral then included the Star of David in all the stained glass windows to give thanx and show appreciation .. a nice story..

in the Park nearby the Cathedral Pat got her high heel shoe repaired by one of the many shoe shine and repair guys that are setup there in the Park.. on the walk back to the ship we stopped by a local craft shop and bought a small pretty handcrafted item.. Dinner in the Tamarind tonite at 630pm
