with our very good friend Anne in town visiting us all this week we all decided a nice day-trip down to Charleston was in order.. Anne was our friend and neighbor when we lived on Long Island in our working years .. we know her for 50 years.. we hung around with her and her husband -- a NYC Fireman-- as well as another couple for a long time.. her husband Joe passed away 11 years ago.. a sad day for all of us.. we left early and arrived in Charleston about 1030am.. what a beautiful day to walk the city.. Rainbow Row.. the Battery .. the historic District.. even paid a visit to the Market .. not crowded at all in this the off season with school back in session.. Anne and Pat both bought a piece of artwork.. I just wandered about.. a nice lunch at the Charleston Crab House-- we ate outdoors.... a perfect day
