passed on going to the beach this morning

no beach this early Tuesday morning.. too many cars and peeps around so I passed on it.. just listening to the Oldies along the island causeway.. a 'clean' sunrise... no clouds.. a quick drive down to Costco in Myrtle Beach for 9am senior hour-- so it was good.. another hot hot hot kinda day 89*

yet another pretty early morning..

another fine early morning.. at the beach at 530am.. not as many peeps out today.. high tide probably kept them away..at least down at the west end where I was at 38th street... clear skies.. nice early morning

back on the beach

after a day of missing the beach I was back.. 530am and the beach was quiet and nice.. some dog-walkers showed up but they meandered toward the west end away from me.. a slight breeze.. 74* and clear skies.. doesn't get any better..

along the island causeway

a 530am drive over to the island.. where are all these peeps coming from.. cars galore.. decided too crowded for me on the beach so gave the boo-boo knee a long walk rest and stayed on the causeway waiting for the sunrise -- and even that got crowded with at least a dozen cars stopping -- normally I am the only one out there.. madness.. sunny all day.. 88* in the afternoon..

a pretty early morning makes for a happy guy..

walked on to the beach at 40th street at 545am.. not anywhere as colorful a sky as yesterday before sunrise.. there's Venus and the quarter Moon once again.. and the Sky Map app too.. quiet as it usually is this time of the morning.. sunny all day

my Sky Map app on my Note 9 phone
and here it is.. Venus with the quarter-Moon

a colorful early morning sky before sunrise

over to the island at 445am.. stopped along the causeway hoping I'd get a glimpse of the Neowise Comet.. too many low clouds in the Northeast sky..guess I have to wait for another 6800 years for it to show up again.. a glimpse of both Venus and the quarter-Moon in the southeast sky ... soooooo I headed on to the beach about 520am.. nice.. no one around.. and I mean no one.. ...the sky before sunrise was lit up in color.. worth the wait and getting out here this early.. by the time I was leaving the beach at 630am the 'usual suspects' appeared and I was outta there..

Venus high above the beach

520am at the beach...72*  had to beat the crowds.. which I guess there was none.. on to the 40th street dunes walkway ..got a shot of Venus high in the eastern sky..no one near me.. mostly all dog-walkers west from 40th street down to the Little River Inlet Jetties
