a pretty morning.. before the storm

with Hurricane Irma a Category 5 storm barrelling down on Miami and the rest of Florida ..also a 2nd storm--Hurricane Jose is following ..could see the waves getting bigger in this area which normally does not have any large outstanding waves.. didn't see a surfer around which I thought was unusual.. got photo-bombed by a friend's pooch who constantly searches for bait in the surf-- 'kewl dog'... some Turtles made their way to the ocean last nite from the 39th Street nest.. supposedly a bunch more still within..a pleasant and pretty early morning as the Moon was out well before the Sun showed .. a bit on the kewl side at 58*-- and yop it was sweatshirt weather with shorts of course

still watching Irma..

as  a Category 5 storm--Hurricane Irma-- blasts thru the Eastern Caribbean causing massive destruction on most all of the islands.. a sad day for places we've been to over the years many many times..

ahhhh.. so so quiet

just like I like it ' nice and quiet' as the summer 'touron' season comes to an end.. a couple of dog-walkers..a few of the Turtle Watch group checking the remaining nests and a walker or two.. even with a 'peek-a-boo' Sunrise among the heavy low cloud cover-- it is still 'shweet'.. .. the deer on the dunes were also smiling as I walked off the beach across the dunes walkway back to my truck.. 'it just don't get no more better-er than this'

quiet to the west
quiet to the east

a lil' bit of sun .. a lil' bit of pasta

at the beach well before sunrise.. 'tourons' all over at this early hour.. crowded for moi-- not anything like the old Coney Island beach crowds... what is going on.. the last day of the busy weekend .. bye bye till next year... Labor Day Holiday and NO cookout.. a-ha but it was time for some Mussels Marinara with homemade fresh pasta fettucini-- gotta do your own pasta from scratch and you'll never go back-- Pat does it super-well.. a lil' bit of old fashion Ruffino Chianti ( no more straw baskets--boo) and a nice dinner at home.. thatsa' nice.. and yes the Mussels were from PEI-- Prince Edward Island Canada-- we were just cruisin' up that way in May :) :)   ..oh and the Yankees won today --they beat Baltimore

'flip-floppin' away

an almost just so close just about

a sunrise kinda early morning---nice to get back over to the beach after days of clouds and rain put a damper on things.. some low clouds but all was well as bright skies won out just after sunrise.. big holiday weekend so the beach started getting crowded as I was leaving around 7am.. a lot nicer at 6am just me and the 'no-see-ums'

just 'ducky'..

quack..quack  as the thunderstorms rolled in as I was about to leave the house for the beach... never left.. no sunrise this morning..  Hurricane Irma is out there in the south Atlantic heading west.. and it's down to ' it's 47 on a wakeup'-- you're familiar with that..right Jim S  :) :)

a quiet morning..

even with the forecasters calling for heavy thunderstorms today.. nothing developed.. low clouds kept me off the beach as I only made it across to the causeway and the lake on the drive home...
