it was a 'wet early morning'.. sooooo do I hear Havana calling

with this morning's sunrise a 'blowout' decided to post some 'old car' pics while in Havana last month.. had a blast

just a potpourri of pics I snapped thruout the day while on our cruise stop in Havana Jan 12 2019... I was with Pat and our very dear friend Anne.. part of our tour of Havana was riding in a nice 1956 Chevy Bel Air Convertible for over 2+ hours.. I got to pick the car... 3 speed on a tree-- that's 3 speed column- shift transmission.. 6 cylinder.. Havana is famous these days for having old 50's American cars.. some in good shape--- some just getting by... most spare parts are homemade or makeshift since no imports are allowed.. it was quite a sight to see so many of them thruout the city... a lot more than I thought there would be.. .. rumor has it they were imported 'back in the day' by the Mafia-- who knows that may be true... as the old saying back then went.. if your car got stolen way back when it was on a boat to Cuba.. hmmmmm?? had a blast.. like going back in time.. only thing missing was 'Ricky Ricardo'-- you remember 'Lucy' don't you-- and 'Xavier Cugat' for those who can remember that far back

Anne.. Pat.. moi
