Day 49-- Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

on land finally after 7 days at sea-- Half Moon Cay, Bahamas Holland Americas private island.. rain squalls as we approached .. then the sun was out... nice day 83*.. some clouds moved in but quickly dissipated..nice Rainbow.. got off the ship onto the large tender at 8am-- the first tender across to the island.. Pat and the group met up with me later.. walked to the west end as I always do-- first one there this morning--nice and peaceful.. looks like the beach took a small hit with erosion from all the hurricanes and storms over the summer .. still it is one beautiful place.. a favorite island of ours.. been here over 40x over the years.. always a great place to visit.. this is fini as we sail to Ft Lauderdale overnite with arrival at 730am tomorrow and the drive back home.. 49 days sure went fast...

a SALUTE to all those veterans and heroes who gave their lives at the battle at Pearl Harbor on this day in 1941
