a non-sunrise kinda morning

just a non-sunrise with partly overcast skies as I tried to snap a couple of pics on the island.. rain started about noon.. should go into the nite until tomorrow morning.. better than they're having north of us.. ice  and snow.. ugh..

geez..on this Valentine's Day I asked Pat if she wanted to take a walk on the beach with me.. she said no way..maybe going out at my regular time at 630am to catch a sunrise had something to do with that..or maybe it being only 23* and friggin' freezin made her smarter than me..

Ash Wednesday

beginning of  the season of Lent..off to church early to get ashes..30* sunny only got up to 40* this afternoon.. more 'kewl' temps for the next 5 days thru Sunday.. brrrrrrrr

a bit brisk

at the beach at sunrise.. winds out of the North at 20+.. friggin' freezin' is all I can say.. with the temps so low and the winds howling with little beach to walk on as high tide approaches only one other person on the beach a local dogwalker--Cheryl and her dog Honey.. nice blue skies with the sun out all day and it only got up to 43*..this ain't good.. all week the same so it ain't getting better..

after all the rain we got the past few days a drive over to the beach at sunrise was in order.. just after high-high tide.. stopped at the lake on the drive home.. snapped a few 'locals'
