a nice early-early morning

rained at the house overnite,, wasn't sure about this morning's sunrise with the forecast calling for heavy thunderstorms-- they were wrong--yippee .. at the beach before dawn with Venus in blue jeans in the east sky-- Venus will be out all month before dawn.. ..a 'Hamburger Sunrise' --between 2 clouds-- this morning.. beach was empty down at the west end at 40th street when I got there with only a few dog-walkers showing up as I was leaving on this Columbus Day Holiday weekend.. must be the local bike-a-thons keeping everyone away.. bicycles will be all over the place at this yearly event-- they are multiplying--yikes .. saw a few out and about on the drive home.. did our run down to Costco and the whatever.. snapped a few planes coming in to the airport near the mall...  Results for this weekend's US Open King Mackerel Tournament US Open King Mac Tournament Results link

just 99% full.. as the sun pops up in the east and the moon starts heading down in the west.. a local King Mackeral Tournament kicked off at 7am from Little River Inlet.. plenty of go-fast boats jumping the choppy waves

 wind was up a bit N at 15-18.. just before high tide at sunrise.. no hits today 'wetting a line' in the surf..  still a nice pretty morning.. three guys trying to put up a wind-breaker tent without success after 45 minutes.. a laff a minute  :)

our next cruise-- getting close

leave here on Oct 19-- Hertz rental once again... overnite in Ft Pierce as we usually do.. board the Veendam  in Ft Lauderdale on Oct 20 for 49 days..  this will be our 7th year in a row doing this cruise with changes in the itinerary every year.. with all the current problems in Barcelona one of our favorite cities to visit there may be changes to port stops along the way.. it is a beautiful city though.. one must adapt  :)
