a few early morning pics

low cloud cover made for a 'late' sunrise this morning..I 'wet a line' and plugged in the backwaters.. nada.. same for the lake.. squat..all in all a nice sunny and pretty day with the temps reaching up to 79*.. not bad at all..

a chunk of sand missing

first time I've been down to the beach since the storm.. looks like a lot of erosion at least down at 40th street..  all this was 'flat' early last week ..water was dirty-muddy--just uglee-- so after a couple of casts I stopped and put the gear away.. not worth the effort.. tree trimming day at the house after the storm.... had a couple of large branches that snapped off hanging over the house...  bye bye to 2 Palm trees in the front yard... along with a Bradford Pear that was leaning.. and trimmed back a number of large River Birch ..no no no I didn't .. got the local Tree Service guys..

something unusual in recent days.. NO rain at all today...  nice to have the sun out and drying things up after all the rain we've had over the past week or so..

the Sun..finally

after too many days of rain and storms in our area the sun was out all day...that is until 4pm when the clouds moved in .. and you guessed it.. more RAIN..  we don't need no more stinkin' rain  :(

Tropical Storm Ana just down the road..UPDATE

UPDATE# 2 .. 430pm

still raining as the slow moving Ana dumps more than enuff rain on our area...winds diminished some..MY LAKE that I never had seems to be full to the brim.. a few pics  of our front yard area near the street

UPDATE #1..  6am   T-S Ana makes Landfall North Myrtle beach

well..it's almost in my back yard.. a couple of miles away across the NC-SC state line right at Little River Inlet.. looks like the EYE will pass over us in a little while but still moving sloooow which suxxxx

The center of Tropical Storm Ana is nearing the coast at North Myrtle
Beach.
The storm will continue to weaken today as it continues moving
very slowly to the northwest over land today. The main threats are
heavy rain and possible localized flooding along with strong and gusty
winds to the north and east of the center.

Tropical Storm Ana heading our way

got the latest storm forecast this evening Tropical Storm Ana is heading up the East Coast.. supposed to make landfall near us this Sunday Morning possibly at Little River Inlet at the SC-NC state border about 3 miles away... rain rain and more rain as most of today was..

lots of clouds.. rain on the way

for the next 7 days forecast is for rain rain and more rain as a couple of storms are forming along the coast..one up near us in the Carolinas the other off the Bahamas .. we don't need no more stinkin' rain !  ..anyway drove over to the island.. not much going on with a blown-out sunrise.. stopped at the Lake as I headed back across to the mainland .. caught one Largemouth Bass.. catch and release of course...had one other hit but no more takers.. get the rain gear out.. It ain't lookin' good  :(
