Happy Valentine's Day....a beachy Pier Cam..

snapping a snap of a snap.. since I was down at the beach at Sunrise once again this morning.. decided to have some fun.. got online on my Galaxy Note 4 phone with the Sunset Beach Pier Cam.. then took a screenshot of my taking a pic of the cam with moi in it.. Happy Valentine's Day on this delightful 23* early morning

it looked nice out on the beach at sunrise ..but it was friggin' COLD...28*.... north wind at 15-20 made for not a nice morning...brrrrrrrrrr..

after a couple of days of super nice high 60's sunny weather it got uglee today..rain with temps dropping from early morning 52*  into the high 30's most of today..this just ain't right

he's back

as per their usual a pair of Bald Eagles show up every early February like clockw*rk.. first sighting was this morning.. had to snap this with the long zoom SX50hs w/ 1200mm lens.. as soon as I reach a certain spot andget  too close to him with my other camera and  shorter lens he always takes off to his other perch across the lake.. he did..  clouds disrupted the sunrise this morning with 58* temps..so no complaints.. warmed up nice and sunny in the late morning 65*

add 20* onto yesterday morning's temps.. now at 51* for a nice wakeup and Sunrise at the beach.. just some dogwalkers..the usual suspects.. beach is quiet..nice.. stopped down at 40th street to get a different view on the sunrise....along the causeway the resident 'Sharp-shinned Hawk' sat atop his lightpole just so he could pose for a few of my pics.. I get too close and off he goes.. across the bridge and down the road a gathering at the lake.. not sure what was going on.. sunny and 68* for the rest of the day.. more nice

31* and frosty.. headed over to the beach.. snapped a few sunrise pics.. no wind but still too cold.. stopped at the lake on the drive home to 'wet a line' .. no takers.... pretty day overall with temps getting up to the high 50's

rainy yesterday morning so as soon as it was a decent sunrise in the forecast I went out early this morning..  sure would be nice if it warmed up a smidge..

Ft Lauderdale--end of cruise--heading home

a fun time on both cruises.. we still prefer the smaller ships like the Maasdam and the longer cruises .. the bigger ships are just too crowded and too noisy and hectic for us...  on the road by 915am and back home by 830pm..  the ship's satellite internet system has been atrocious thruout our cruise.. most of the time it has been down or extemely slow... unfortunately I decided to NOT post to this Blog until I returned home to save myself a lot of grief and aggravation
