out early in the light rain

a slight drizzle by the house before sunrise but decided to go out to wet a line anyway . oh and to take some pics.. looks like since I got the new canon 70-300l lens the past three early mornings have been cloudy .. only to clear up later in the day.. it's a conspiracy :) water temps at 56º at the lake.. about the same in the ocean. rain got heavier for a short while as I got over to the island... nice sunny days are forecast in the lower 70's for the next few days.. this is GOOD..

Sunrise on another pretty morning

decided to venture out to catch the Sunrise at Sunset Beach.. why not... temps were a bit on the 'kewl' side for my liking but out to the beach I went... gorgeous morning... very few people walking the beach.. nearly desolate..after 'beaching it I left the island . stopped at the ICW on the mainland.. also stopped at Oyster Bay Lake and wet a line for a few minutes without success..

an eye- opener kinda morning... brrrrrrrrr

decided to go out early at Sunrise .. stopped by the ICW in Sunset Beach in two places I normally fish at.. 28º and I am not wetting a line... FROST on the roofs and grass areas all around.. a couple of die-hard fishermen in small 'jon' boats fishing under the new Sunset Beach Bridge... they sure didn't look too warm out there..I wasn't .. and a first for me.. seeing a pair of Swans at Oyster Bay Golf Lake.. I wonder if they know the Gators are sleeping there... hmmmm??
